What is a TRAILBLAZER?
Trailblazers are ETC board members, staff, volunteers, trail users, and advocates of trails—walkers, hikers, cyclists, runners, skaters, wheelers, moms, dads, grandparents, kids, teenagers, as well as donors, both small and corporate business partner advocates, and everyone—young and old. We define our Trailblazers and groups as those who engage in activities that utilize all of our local amenities, such as our Greenway, our parks, our multi-use trails, sidewalks, and our bike lanes. The City of Evansville and Vanderburgh County has many wonderful amenities to enjoy! Our goal is to create opportunities for you to engage in places you have yet to explore!
Since 2009, we have been working to bring people together, connecting people to places that promote active lifestyles in the City of Evansville and Vanderburgh County. Whether on the Greenway, the Joan Marchand Bridge, hosting running, walking, bicycling events, or advocating for trails projects, we believe city transformation can happen when a group of people rally around a common idea, taking collective action together. We're building a coalition of community members who desire a network of safe, connected, shared-use pathways throughout our city.
Join Evansville’s only network of community members dedicated to connecting and enjoying a completed Greenway trails system — be a part of the advocacy work that promotes connectivity for active transportation and recreation options in every district and near the neighborhoods we live!
