Upgrade Bike Share Program to be Launched in Henderson, KY, October 3rd

Evansville, IN, September 11, 2018—The Evansville Trails Coalition is expanding the Upgrade Bike Share Program to the City of Henderson, KY. The new Upgrade Bike Share stations in Henderson will have three locations: Sponsored by Field & Main Bank, located at the corner of Second and Main Street, sponsored by the Raymond B. Preston Family Foundation at the Audubon Kids Zone location at Powell and Letcher Street and a third station sponsored by the City of Henderson, along the trails within Atkinson Park. A ribbon cutting and celebration will take place at 3 p.m., Wednesday, October 3, 2018, at the Second and Main Street station location, in Downtown Henderson.

Since the Evansville Trails Coalition launched the Upgrade Bike Share Program in Evansville in October of 2016, the Upgrade Bike Share Program ridership has climbed steadily to the current 7034 rides and now has over 3000+ active members. Evansville currently has seven bike station locations, The Evansville Convention and Visitors Bureau, Haynie’s Corner, the downtown YMCA, Franklin Street West Library, North Main Street in Jacobsville, the University of Evansville station, and one within Deaconess Sports Park.

In addition to launching three bike stations in Henderson, Ivy Tech Community College has sponsored a new station at the campus located at 3501 N. First Avenue, Evansville, IN 47710; this new Upgrade Bike Share station is set to launch, September 24, 2018.
